How fast can be a landslide...on Mars??

Really fast, more than 90 m/s!
This is one of the conclusions of the paper by Paolo Mazzanti et al. recently published in the Journal "Earth, Planets and Space".

From the past to the future of radar tecnologies

Several opportunities are available today for satellite SAR Interferometry: from high-resolution satellites, like the Italian COSMO-SkyMed, to the thousands of archive radar images acquired since the early nineties by the first generation of SAR satellites.
A strong reduction of price is also now possible thanks to the new policy of data distribution by the Europen Space Angency and the new Sentinel-1 satellite.

Submit your abstract for the 88th Congress of the Italian Geological Society

NHAZCA is supporting the session P32 titled “Remote sensing for the Geosciences and the Environment” in the frame of the 88th Congress of the Italian Geological Society that will be held in Naples from 7th to 9th September 2016.
We strongly encourage the submission of works, researches and case histories where remote sensing played a key-role for the comprehension of the geological, geomorphological, geophysical or geotechnical processes.
