NHAZCA Supports Italian Ministry of Culture in Preservation of Cultural Heritage

NHAZCA, in collaboration with the “Opera dellaPrimazialePisana” and the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering at the University of Pisa, is proud to announce its involvement in the “Extraordinary National Plan for Monitoring and Conservation of Italian Cultural Heritage“, spearheaded by the Italian Ministry of Culture.

This initiative aims to explore new technologies for monitoring significant and vulnerable monuments, providing invaluable support to cultural heritage managers across Italy.

Recently, our team had the privilege of working on the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa, leveraging the latest innovative technologies such as static and dynamic Photomonitoring, Gigapan, Satellite SAR Interferometry with corner reflectors, and Terrestrial RAR Interferometry. These advanced techniques allowed us to monitor the structure’s swinging amplitudes and frequencies, facilitating continuous maintenance and informed decision-making for future restoration efforts.

Our commitment to preserving Italy’s rich cultural heritage is unwavering, and we are dedicated to employing cutting-edge technologies to ensure the longevity and integrity of these iconic monuments.
