Issue

Castelsantangelo sul Nera is a small village between Marche and Umbria regions that was destroyed by the seismic events of 2016 in Central Italy. The aim of this consultancy service is the urban planning related to the reconstruction interventions in the historical centre and minor sites most affected by the seismic events occurred as of 24 August 2016.

Solution

NHAZCA, together with the working group composed by Mate Soc. Coop.va , Stefano Boeri Architetti s.r.l., Pro.ge. 77 s.r.l., D.R.E. Am. Italia Soc. Coop. and Dr. Antonio Montemurro, will be responsible for the drafting of the Urban Plan.

The urban planning concept on which the reconstruction plan will be based is focused on the authentic reconstruction of the village taking into account both the historical features and connections of local community. The reconstruction will be based on three key topics: i) Safety, ii) Historical heritage, iii) Materials and construction methods.

In this context, NHAZCA will be responsible for natural hazard analysis and photogrammetric surveys using UAVs.
